My team and I know you are concerned about the Coronavirus. The good news – Children are one of the only groups not at major risk right now.
We are working with the NYC and NYS Departments of Health and have the following information for you.
If your child has a cough and cold and perhaps a low-grade fever, don’t worry. Keep them at home. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate (chicken soup, water).
If your child has a fever, use Tylenol or Motrin (Infants ages 6+ months get Motrin only). Dosage is based on weight.
When should you schedule an appointment?
When should you worry about Coronavirus? If G-d forbid, your child has trouble breathing, inform us immediately by calling 718-868-4808 ext. 1/ after hours, page me at 917-223-0932. We will assess whether to call Hatzalah for transport to the emergency room.
We have chosen for now not to test for COVID-19 in our office.
Steps you can take to help stay healthy:
As always, Daven.
Wishing everyone only the best of health.
